Terms of Use

1. Who these terms are between
This website is published by Montrivay, 41 rue du Marché-Finlay, Québec, QC G1K 0A0, Canada. Using the site means accepting what is written on this page. If you do not accept it, please close the tab.
2. Adults only
The site describes a hotel that contains a gaming floor, and is written for people aged 18 or over. The home page asks your age before it shows anything else. Do not use the site if you are under 18, and do not answer that question falsely on someone else's device.
3. No gambling is offered here
Nothing on this website can be played, staked, wagered, deposited or withdrawn. The site has no game or simulation of one, and no account, balance or payment page. The gaming floor described in these pages is one room on the second floor of the hotel in Québec City, entered in person by an adult with photo identification. Anything elsewhere presenting itself as an online version of that room has nothing to do with us.
4. Accuracy, and what is not an offer
We write these pages ourselves and keep them current, but hours change, a room is taken out of service, a dish leaves the menu and the weather closes things. Nothing on the site is a contractual offer. A room, a table or anything else is held only once a member of staff has confirmed it to you directly. If a description and what you find on arrival differ, tell reception and we will put it right.
5. Intellectual property
The text, the drawings, the layout and the code of this site belong to the hotel. The two typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License and are served from this domain. You may quote a reasonable extract with a link back, print a page for your own use and share a link freely. You may not copy the site wholesale, republish the text as your own or use the hotel's name or mark in a way that suggests we are connected to you.
6. Links out
This site does not link to any other website: every link on every page points to another file in this same site, and that is deliberate. If an outside link is ever added, it will lead to a site we do not control, and we will not be responsible for what is on it.
7. Conduct on the property
The building has a few short house rules. Please be civil to staff and to other guests, and keep to quiet hours between 22:00 and 07:00, because the floors are old timber and sound travels. Smoking is not permitted anywhere indoors, including in the vault and on the second-floor landing; there is a place for it in the courtyard. The gaming floor adds a dress rule, an age rule and an identification rule, all set out on the floor's own page. Staff may ask anyone who ignores these rules to leave; on the gaming floor that decision belongs to the duty manager and stands for the evening.
8. Availability
The site is a small set of static files and should be available nearly all the time, but we cannot promise it. It may be down for maintenance, for a hosting fault, or because a provider we rely on has a bad day. Anything you need in a hurry is also available from reception, which answers the telephone at every hour.
9. Liability
We are responsible for the accuracy of what we write and we will correct an error when we learn of it. We are not responsible for loss that follows from the site being unavailable, from a page being out of date, or from a decision taken on the strength of a web page without a conversation with us. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, which cannot be limited under the law that applies.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Province of Québec and the laws of Canada applicable in it. Any dispute about the website goes to the courts of the judicial district of Québec. This does not take away any right you have under consumer protection law to bring a claim where you live.
11. Changes
We may change these terms. The reviewed date at the top moves when we do, and the version on the site at the moment you use it is the one that applies.
12. Contact
Write to [email protected], telephone +1 418 692 0471, or come to the desk.
